ETHIOPIA OMO VALLEY PEOPLE

The people of the Omo Valley in southern Ethiopia live in a old tradional manner. As electricity becomes more available to that region of the country, traditions will be changing and in some ways lost forever. It is my goal to capture their way of life before modern technology takes over and brings the people of the Omo into todays world.

Traditional culture of the Mursi tribe is for the women to wear lip plates. This tradition was started during slavery to make the women unattractive and not chosen to be enslaved.
